Holiday Group Programs
RCOT provide group programs during the school holidays for our active clients. These activities are out in the community and allow our clients to consolidate the knowledge they gained during therapy sessions, in a safe and supported space, whilst making new friends. At RCOT, we believe the best way to learn skills is in the environment in which they are used to.
Having a group of children learning social skills in a room can become robotic, and we feel that engaging in the community, socialising and making mistakes, is more natural and positive for our clients. The holiday activities are supported by OTs and support workers, which allows for a great combination of in-the-moment therapy teaching, along with the casual support of support workers.
Advocacy
RCOT prides itself on our passion for our clients. Whether we are supporting a school, a family, a sports coach, a teacher, etc, we advocate ensuring that our clients are understood, supported and engaged. Our advocacy extends to helping families through NDIS applications, reviews and challenges, whether with a parent, or attending phone/in-person meetings.
Although all our therapists are strong advocates, Reid is able to provide additional advocacy support when required. Please get in touch with our admin for further information.
